2 - Position Description

The research team of Prof. Tuba Bircan, affiliated with the Department Sociology, is looking for a motivated project coordination and communication professional. The candidate will be involved in project coordination across national and international multi-stakeholder projects. This role is vital to ensure smooth communication, diverse stakeholder engagement, and efficient dissemination of project information.

The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the coordination of a diverse range of multilingual projects, ensuring each is executed with timely precision. Their responsibilities extend to the development and implementation of robust dissemination and communication plans, coupled with the astute management of social media platforms pertinent to our projects. The role demands an individual adept at seamlessly liaising between various departments and stakeholders, both on a national and international scale. Efficient documentation and rigorous record-keeping for all projects fall under their purview. Additionally, they will assist in ensuring smooth communication channels and addressing the concerns or feedback of our stakeholders. For this function, our Brussels Humanities, Sciences & Engineering Campus (Elsene) will serve as your home base.

3 - Profile

What do we expect from you?

  • A university diploma is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in stakeholder management, dissemination and communication planning and implementation.
  • Proven expertise in social media and large-scale project coordination.
  • High degree of proficiency in Office tools: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong familiarity with Power BI Projects Report is highly desirable.
  • Ability to support/manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willing to learn and expand personal knowledge.
  • Proactive personality, organised and structured, attention to detail, team player, good communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages is required: Turkish, Russian, Arabic.
  • Fluency in French and/or Dutch is a significant advantage.

4 - Offer

Are you going to be our new colleague? You’ll be offered a temporary (1 year, extendable up to max. 24 months) full-time contract at a salary linked to Grade 6, depending on your competences and previous relevant work experience.
